Der Rücksitz eines Taxis in New York City war für Ryan Weideman über Dekaden sein "Fotostudio".

Als Weideman 1980 in New York ankommt ist er voller Erwartungen und träumt von dem großen Aufstieg. Er merkt aber sehr schnell, wie schwer es ist ein Leben als Fotograf zu starten und macht sich sorgen, wie er seine Rechnungen bezahlen wird.

Inspiriert von seinem Nachbarn, einem Taxifahrer, entschließt er sich, es ihm gleich zu tun und die Arbeit mit seiner Passion für Fotografie zu verbinden.
